Our new sport and recreation clinics are exclusive opportunities for your children to learn a new hobby under the guidance of our specialised instructors. They are open to all children aged 8 and up!

Junior Clinic Philosophy

UWA Sports Junior Sports Clinics are an opportunity for children aged 8 and up to continue to develop their skills and sports knowledge, in a safe and inclusive environment. Each clinic focuses on ensuring kids learn the fundamental movement skills necessary to continue to participate in sport throughout their lifetime. Run by specialised instructors, our clinics provide individual support to children looking to try a new sport or learn a new skill. 

Summer 2018/19 Holiday Clinics Program

Summer Holiday Clinics: Monday 17 December–Friday 25 January 

All clinics run from 9:00am–12:30pm

Drop off: 8am–9am

Pick up: 12:30pm 

How to Enrol

Enrolments for the Summer 2018/19 Holiday Clinics will open Monday 19 November.

To enrol your child/ren in one or more of the Clinics, please click on the 'enrol online' button below and register on our My UWA Sport Portal.

Once you have enrolled your child/ren, you will receive a confirmation email in regards to your registration, which will include all the details for online payment. Please note, enrolments will not be finalised until payment is received.

Summer 2018/19 Holiday Cliincs


The most popular summer sport in Australia, cricket can be enjoyed by just about anybody. This clinic will cover all aspects of cricket to have you bowling, batting and fielding better in no time. Along the way our expert coaches will provide you with a range of tips and tricks to take away to your next competitive game, or even to some backyard cricket with your friends!

This is a great opportunity to learn a unique sport that many of your friends may not have tried. Lacrosse is an extremely popular team sport in America which is spreading to other parts of the world, and involves using the end of a lacrosse stick to carry, pass and catch a ball around the field before shooting at goal. Lacrosse can be adapted to a range of different skill and experience levels and the skills of hand eye coordination are transferrable to a range of different sports, so why not come try it out!

Mountain Biking

Learn the basics of mountain biking such as good riding technique and how to properly use gears and brakes. You'll then get to put these newly learned skills to the test riding through some off-road trails in Kings Park, followed by a more relaxed ride around the beautiful Swan River!
Correct bike sizes for younger participants can't be guaranteed. Where possible, participants are encouraged to bring their own bike.

With Athletics season now in full swing, this clinic is a great way to get the jump on your friends having some time off over the break! Our specialist coach will take you through correct warm up techniques, sprints and even some throws. If you don't participate in Athletics, this clinic will teach you valuable skills you can take back to gain an edge in your chosen sport.

Fencing is a long established sport practiced worldwide that promotes fitness, speed, flexibility and coordination. Fencing combines tactical thinking with physical agility to outwit an opponent. Run by the knowledgeable instructors at the renowned UWA Fencing Club, you're guaranteed to have a great time at this Clinic.

This clinic is one you do not want to miss! Correct shooting technique will be taught to ensure safety ad accuracy, before starting target shooting that will have you hitting a bullseye in no time. Olympic style target shooting will be followed in a social tournament, and perfecting your skills in a range of activities including balloon and Piñata shooting!
