At the University of Western Australia, sport plays a central role in the lives of students and promotes a healthy campus culture. Whether you’re training for a gold medal or looking for a spin, dance or yoga class, UWA Sport offers programs and membership options to suit everyone.

Come see what all the fuss is about. Try all the best of what’s on offer this O-Week with five days of Free Play @ UWA.

Take time out of your busy schedule with a lunch-time swim, or have a go at free Rise and Shine Yoga; the choice is up to you. You can grab a group of mates and test out your skills in squash or basketball on one of our many courts with free indoor and outdoor court hire across the week.

What's on Offer

There are a tonne of free sessions available across the week, from group fitness classes to free court hire, and our pop-up Dodgeball and Goalball activities. These sessions are open to all UWA Students, from freshers to current and returning students. Remember its first come first served so get in early to secure your place!

Free Rise and Shine Yoga

Yoga on the Grass

Perfect for yogis of all levels, enjoy the serenity of yoga and prepare yourself for the big day ahead.

Free Badminton Hire
Practice your badminton skills at UWA Sport. No need to register, just sign up on the day at the Recreation and Fitness Centre reception.

Come and Try Goalball
Give Goalball a go! This inclusive team sport, developed for blind or visually impaired players, can be played by anyone. Come and try your hand at rolling and blocking a ball – without being able to see!

Dodgeball Tournament
Come down and play dodgeball with your friends! This casual tournament is easy to enter with round winners earning bragging rights. No skill or experience required.

Experience the UWA Sport Digital Activity Wall
UWA Sport’s new MultiBall system combines sport and digital games to make getting active fun! Try this new experience for free in O-Week on the only system in WA. No need to register, just check-in on the day at the Recreation and Fitness Centre reception

Free Ultrafit Class
ULTRAFIT is designed to truly push each participant to better their current physical ability. This high intensity session uses majority bodyweight interval training that will not only rapidly improve your overall fitness, but will help increase your strength, speed and flexibility.
