At the University of Western Australia, sport plays a central role in the lives of students and promotes a healthy campus culture. Whether you’re training for a gold medal or looking for a spin, dance or yoga class, UWA Sport offers programs and membership options to suit everyone.

Come see what all the fuss is about. Try all the best of what’s on offer this O-Week with five days of Free Play @ UWA.

Kick-start your day with a yoga class, or take time out with a lunch-time swim; the choice is up to you. You can grab a group of mates and test out your skills in squash, basketball, or tennis on one of our many courts with free indoor and outdoor court hire across the week.

What's on Offer

There are a tonne of free sessions available across the week, from group fitness classes to free court hire, and our flagship Pop up Yoga and MYO Muesli Breakfast. These sessions are open to all UWA Students, from freshers to current and returning students. Remember its first come first served so get in early to secure your place!

Yoga on the Grass
Join us for a week of free yoga, BodyBalance, mindfulness, and muesli, and meet like-minded people who could help make your time at UWA unforgettable. Please register online here.

Pop-Up Water Sports
Head down to the foreshore this O-Week and try your hand at stand up paddle boarding or jump in a kayak and explore the bay at our FREE Pop-Up Watersports day. Please register online here.
Location: UWA Boatshed
Time: Thursday 2.30-5pm
Sign up for a free one week gym trial
Conveniently located on campus, the UWA Fitness Centre features friendly trainers and state-of-the-art equipment. Find out more by signing up for a free trial or get a tour through the gym with one of our trainers. No need to register, just sign up on the day at the Recreation and Fitness Centre reception.

Free public swimming
UWA students can enjoy free public swimming every day during O-Week at the Aquatic Centre. Take a lunch time break and dive into the water! No need to register, just show your 2019 student sticker to the lifeguard on duty.

Group Fitness Classes
A UWA Fitness Membership gives you access to over 50 Group Fitness Classes every week! Enjoy a variety of free classes during O-Week and find your new favourite class. No need to register, just sign up on the day at the Recreation and Fitness Centre reception.

Free court hire
