Position Title: Fitness Business Manager

Position Classification: Level 6

Objective: Based at the UWA's Crawley campus, the position will guide a team of dedicated staff (both FTE and casual) to deliver high-quality, fitness based experiences by developing an engaging and fun service offering across all venues, programs and services. We are looking for someone with a mind for business, a passion for people and a love of the fitness industry.

This role represents a chance to have a real impact, reinvigorate a well-established service offering and drive new initiatives to ensure that UWA Sport delivers outstanding services and experiences to students, staff, alumni and the wider community.

Position Title: Graduate Officer - Facilities

Position Classification: Level 2, 12 month contract

Objective: Reporting to the Sport Facilities Manager and working closely with the UWA Sports Park Facilities Officer and customer service teams, this role is responsible for supporting the use of UWA Sport-managed facilities, with a particular focus on the daily operations of the Crawley campus. This is a high customer-contact, service focused role that operates in peak operating times, in particular Monday to Thursday evenings.

The successful candidate will have strong customer service and communication skills, a passion for problem-solving and query-handling as well as proficiency in computer usage. Good knowledge of the Sport and Recreation, Health and Fitness industries as well as the University would be an advantage as would an understanding of occupational health and safety matters. Progression towards, or completion of, a UWA Student Employability Award would also be highly regarded. Please note that a national police clearance and first aid certificate are mandatory requirements for this position.

Position Title: Swimming Coach (Novice)

Position Classification: Level 2 Casual

Objective: This position works as part of the UWA Sport Aquatics team in the delivery of Squads programs, planning and delivering high quality coaching to swimmers over the summer months.

Position Title: Swimming Instructor (Novice)

Position Classification: Level 2 Casual

Objective: This position works as part of the UWA Sport Aquatics team in the delivery of learn to swim programs to participants ranging in age and ability. This role is responsible for teaching water confidence and the biomechanical techniques of the four competitive swimming strokes and associated starts and turns, depending on the level and ability of swimmers in their group.
