Position Title: Active Leadership Unit Leadership Coordinator

Position Classification: Level 2.1 Casual

Objective: This position works as part of the Sport and Recreation Programs Team to deliver the SSEH 1104 Active Leadership Unit at UWA. The unit is an accredited academic broadening unit for undergraduate students at UWA. This position provides assistance to a Skills Leader in the delivery of the Active Leadership Unit’s recreational activity tutorials. It provides support in the coordination of recreational activity tutorials (i.e. cycling, stand up paddle boarding or kayaking) and leadership/team building activities, recording of student attendance and delivery of leadership instructions and assessment of students.

Position Title: Active Leadership Unit Skills Leader

Position Classification: Level 3.1 Casual

Objective: This position works as part of the Sport and Recreation Programs Team to deliver the SSEH 1104 Active Leadership Unit at UWA. The unit is an accredited academic broadening unit for undergraduate students at UWA. This position leads the delivery of the Active Leadership Unit’s recreational activity tutorials. It provides oversight on the recreational activities (i.e. cycling, stand up paddle boarding or kayaking), undertakes leadership instructions and assessment of students, and supervises staff in the Unit. In addition, the position focuses on undertaking leadership and team building activities to students to deliver the course outcomes that are outlined in the unit manual.

Position Title: Sport Competition Coordinator

Position Classification: Level 2 Casual

Objective: This position works as part of the Sports and Recreation Programs Team to oversee the delivery of sport competitions at UWA. The competitions include, but are not limited to the Social Sports, Inter-College and Inter-Faculty Competitions. Participants in these Competitions include UWA students, staff, UWA college residents or broader Perth community members. This position oversees and coordinates the daily delivery of one or more of our sport competitions. It provides routine supervision of sport games (i.e. soccer, netball, basketball) and staff, and is responsible for the implementation of correct first aid and incident management procedures in our competitions.

Position Title: Sport Competition Official

Position Classification: Level 1 Casual

Objective: This position works as part of the Sport and Recreation Programs Team to deliver the Social Sports Competitions, Inter-Faculty Competition and Inter-College Competition at UWA. Participants in these competitions include UWA students, staff, UWA college residents or broader Perth community members. This position provides expert sport umpiring to our sport competition games (i.e. netball, soccer, basketball), in addition to providing delivery support to the Competition Coordinator; resulting in safe, inclusive and positive sport competitions.

Position Title: Graduate Officer - Venues

Position Classification: Level 2, 12-month contract

Objective: The Graduate Officer - Venues is responsible for supporting the use (both by internal and external users) of UWA Sport managed facilities, with a particular focus on the daily operations of Crawley Campus facilities. This is a high customer-contact, high service-outcome focused role that operates in peak operating times, in particular Monday to Thursday evenings.

Position Title: Swimming Coach (Novice)

Position Classification: Level 2 Casual

Objective: This position works as part of the UWA Sport Aquatics team in the delivery of Squads programs, planning and delivering high quality coaching to swimmers over the summer months.

Position Title: Swimming Instructor (Novice)

Position Classification: Level 2 Casual

Objective: This position works as part of the UWA Sport Aquatics team in the delivery of learn to swim programs to participants ranging in age and ability. This role is responsible for teaching water confidence and the biomechanical techniques of the four competitive swimming strokes and associated starts and turns, depending on the level and ability of swimmers in their group.
