UWA Sports Council

The UWA Sports Council Management and Finance Committee is the governing student body of sport at UWA.  It is responsible for the day-to-day management and financial affairs of Sports Council. The committee is made up of 8 members who have a direct link to sport at UWA from President of a club to a competitor in the Australian University Games. The committee meets once a month to discuss the matters and issues related to student sport at UWA.

The UWA Sports Council is also responsible for the awarding of the Sports Awards.  These are presented at the annual sports award evenings, and consist of a variety of awards to recognise the efforts of individuals and clubs in the development of sports at UWA.

The highest award from the sports council, the Blues, is an award that has traditions going back to 1921. The Full Blue and the Half Blue awards are awarded by the Sports Council for outstanding achievement in sport whilst representing UWA.
