They recognise the commitment and achievements of the recipient in their sport. The Blues have been awarded annually since 1921, and include some notable people in Australian sport.Other Awards In addition to Blues Awards, UWA Sports presents a number of awards to recognise sporting excellence and the role of support personnel, such as coaches and administrators. Individual AwardsClub Service - Awarded to UWA students who have shown dedication to their club over a period of at least 3 years that has given lasting effect on the club and sport whilst studying at UWA. Sport Star of the Year - The UWA Sports Star of the Year is awarded to the student who the Awards Committee considers to be the most outstanding sports person attending UWA for that year. Coach of the Year - Awarded to the most outstanding coach of a UWA Sports Club team or UWA Inter-University team. Club Letter - Awarded to a member of the Sports Association who has given outstanding service to the club of at least 7 years. |
