Flatwater Instructor Conversion

This course qualifies people to instruct paddling in flat water. It is a conversion course for participants who have completed the Flatwater Lifeguard course. The course builds on the Flatwater Lifeguard course and covers instructional techniques and group management practices as well as further developing paddling skills.

Participants will also be required to join regular paddling programs conducted from the Watersports Complex to observe and instruct in part and finally all of a session. These activities are in addition to the intensive program.

NOTE: A Senior First Aid Certificate is required and is additional to this program.
