The UWA Triathlon Club gives its members the opportunity to attend regular run, swim and cycle sessions each week. Club members can also represent the club at Triathlon WA race events and attend social/informal training sessions each week. These sessions are open to anyone, not just club members, and are set up to help foster relationships between members while providing further opportunities to get active and recover from the tougher regular club sessions.

Training and Coaching

The UWA Triathlon Club offers members access to a pool of talented and enthusiastic coaches who run the weekly training program. This includes Dr Grant Landers, who is Western Australia’s only level 3 coach and is the head coach of Triathlon WA’s Excellence Program. Coach Charles Biddle also has over 20 years’ experience in the sport. The club conducts regular run, cycle and swim sessions weekly.

Run sessions

Coached Running Session: Wednesday afternoons
Social Club Runs: 5.30pm Friday nights, starting from the UWA Boat Shed Car Park

Cycle sessions

Coached Cycling: Tuesday mornings
Club Rides: 7.30am most Sunday mornings, starting from the UWA Recreation and Fitness Centre

Swim sessions

With UniSwim at the UWA pools every Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning during the triathlon season
