The UWA Badminton Club caters for players of all levels, from beginners to advanced-level athletes. A great social atmosphere is created at the weekly club nights, with new members always welcome. The club aims to build a fun and inclusive social community around the sport. Like other student-led clubs on campus, the Badminton Club aims to develop the skills of its members by matching players of similar levels together. The UWA Recreation and Fitness Centre houses an inventory of badminton nets and poles alongside sprung hardwood floors.
Regular club training nights are hosted on Wednesdays during each University semester and sessions run from 7.30 to 10.30pm. The club is socially based, so these club nights often play host to themed social tournaments. Stay plugged in to the club’s Facebook page for updates on upcoming events.
You don’t need to be a current UWA student to attend weekly club nights. However, UWA students are offered discounted year-long memberships. Community memberships are priced at $80, while student memberships are discounted to $70 per year.
